On this day, I went to dance class early, because a few dance friends said they’d show up early too and we’d practice a few times before class. But I got there long before anyone else did and because I had extra time, I tried to draw the folks who were taking this bollywood class held before our class. They came out so mangled in my left hand drawing, but I feel it is more authentic, interesting and real. My left hand is my favorite hand at the moment. Not to dismiss the righteousness of my right hand, but sometimes being dominant can come off arrogant and having a little humility can be good for the soul. Much like the students in the class. Those who come in with an open mind and a desire to learn are apt to be more successful than those who come in to class thinking they’re all THAT.
